About Us

The Auckland rowing Club was established in 1869 and is located in the
suburb of Mt. Wellington in Auckland, New Zealand. The club has been through
a total of six location changes and the club's present site is at Ian Shaw
Park, at the Flat Rock area on the Tamaki River.

The Club is made up of around 250 members, including approximately 100
affiliated through Epsom Girls Grammar School, Sacred Heart College, and
Diocesan School for Girls. Both male and female members participate at all
levels from U15 and novice through to masters, in both sculling and sweep
oar events throughout the rowing calendar. The club also hosts rowers from
overseas visiting New Zealand, corporate rowers, university rowers
The Club is the fifth oldest in New Zealand and has a proud history of both
on and off the water performances to match. Success throughout the clubs
lifetime can be measured through the large amount of National Titles won and
the number of Successful international representatives.
